JD Meints is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Prosperous Health, where he is building an integrated behavioral healthcare platform designed to expand access to high-quality mental health and substance use disorder treatment. Prosperous Health’s strategy combines targeted acquisitions, centralized management services, technology-enabled care, and disciplined operating infrastructure to create a scalable continuum of behavioral health services.

A central component of this vision is Lake Hughes Recovery, Prosperous Health’s 104-bed behavioral health campus in northern Los Angeles County. The campus is being developed to provide comprehensive substance use disorder and mental health services while addressing the significant need for accessible, high-capacity treatment. Together with Prosperous Health’s outpatient, medical, virtual-care, and administrative capabilities, Lake Hughes Recovery is intended to serve as a cornerstone of the company’s expanding regional platform.

JD brings more than 20 years of entrepreneurial experience across behavioral healthcare, digital health, SaaS, and e-commerce. Since entering behavioral healthcare in 2013, he has founded and operated four Southern California treatment centers offering multiple levels of care. In 2017, he launched one of the country’s earliest fully virtual outpatient treatment programs and later founded NuLife Virtual, a HIPAA-compliant platform extending clinical care, peer support, patient engagement, and long-term recovery services beyond the traditional treatment setting. NuLife was selected as a Founder Institute portfolio company, featured by StartUp Health for its work addressing addiction and the opioid crisis, and recognized by the Best Mobile App Awards.

At Prosperous Health, JD leads corporate strategy, acquisitions, facility development, operational integration, payer strategy, technology, and organizational growth. His experience building both healthcare operations and technology companies provides the foundation for Prosperous Health’s goal of creating an outcomes-focused behavioral healthcare organization capable of delivering sustainable growth, operational excellence, and long-term value for patients, partners, and investors.
