Sheldon Stokes serves as Director of Authorization Strategy at Prosperous Health, bringing more than 10 years of experience in utilization review. Working in substance use and mental health services since 2013, she has built strong relationships with insurance companies and their clinical teams to help navigate complex authorization processes and support continuity of care.

Her expertise includes strengthening documentation to address payer contract requirements, DHCS requirements, Joint Commission standards, and LOCUS and ASAM level-of-care criteria. She works closely with clinical and operational teams to improve communication, support clinically appropriate lengths of stay, and reduce avoidable authorization denials.
