Matin Hemmat, MD

Dr. Matin Hemmat is a board-certified physician specializing in Addiction Medicine and Internal Medicine, and co-founder of Prosperous Health. As Chief Medical & Strategy Officer, Dr. Hemmat leads clinical operations, strategic planning, and medical program development across the organization's integrated behavioral health platform.

Dr. Hemmat founded and built Peninsula Health Center and Hemmat Health PC, developing comprehensive behavioral health treatment programs including Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and outpatient services focused on dual-diagnosis care for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.

He serves on the medical staff of Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center and Torrance Memorial Medical Center, where he has held leadership roles in clinical quality oversight and physician peer review. Dr. Hemmat has received multiple physician excellence awards and is recognized for his expertise in evidence-based addiction medicine.
